Kyra Minturn

 Kyra Minturn (born August 19, 1965), is an American actress. She is best known for her leading role as Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson on the TNT crime drama The Closer. Sedgwick won an Emmy Award in 2010 and a Golden Globe Award for 2007 for her performance as Johnson. The show ended on the 13, 2012, following the conclusion of the seventh season. Sedgwick is also known for her recurring role in Brooklyn Nine-Nine's sitcom Madeline Wuntch. Sedgwick was nominated for the Golden Globe for her role in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's film credits include Oliver Stone's Born on the Fourth of July (1989) and Cameron Crowe's Singles (1992), Heart and Souls (1993), Phenomenon (1996) The cooking (2000), Secondhand Lions (2003), The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2012). Sedgwick was born in New York City, the daughter of Patricia (nee Rosenwald), an educator and speech therapy therapist, and Henry Dwight Sedgwick V, an investor in venture capital. Her mother was Jewish. Her dad was Episcopalian of English descent. Sedgwick has declared publicly her Jewish heritage and said that she is a part of Passover seders.
